How to care for a bouquet: the secrets of durability

These simple recommendations will help prolong the life of a mixed bouquet:

• Choose a vase. The length of the stems should be 1.5-2 bigger than the height of a vase. The shape of a vase isn’t as important as long as it provides enough room inside.
• If a bouquet is brought from the cold, don't put it in the vase right away. It needs at least 10-15 minutes to adapt to the ambient temperature.
• Remove all excess leaves.
• Cut 2-3 cm of the stem at an angle of 45 degrees using a sharp pruner or knife.
• Treat the vase with antiseptic and rinse it under the tap water.
• Now fill the vase with cool filtered or settled water.
• Add some additional fertilizing to the water. Or make a mixture yourself. For example, 1g of citric acid diluted in 1 liter of water is the perfect mixture for tulips. For roses, instead of citric acid, try mixing 20-30 g of sugar.
• Regularly moisten the leaves of the flowers, avoiding spraying the buds.
• Keep the bouquet away from draughts, heating devices, an air conditioner, and direct sunlight.
• Keep fruit and flowers apart from each other.
• Change water and trim stems every day.
